About Me
Making technical content easier to find and use has been the focus of my career.
I spent over 10 years working in Linux and UNIX system and network administration before making a lateral move into technical writing. I've been a technical writer for 18 years, and over the last several years have also expanded my role to include UX writing and content design.

As both a consumer and creator of technical documentation, I have a hands-on background that helps me understand how people use and interact with technical content.

I bring this same experience to indexing. Whether it's a back-of-the-book index or an embedded index for digital content, I create clear, usable navigation that helps the reader find what they need. I enjoy indexing for the same reasons I enjoy technical writing: I get to the support the reader's task and help them get back to what they were already doing.
